Something is not right, something is quite wrong, and so, I sing this song.
Miss Clavel
It was a dark and stormy night and I had pain in my belly. The next morning is was not going away. So oft I went to the ER to have it checked out. By the end of the day
Voila! My scar.

In less than an hour of entering the ER, I had a slot on the surgery schedule for the same day. The staff was kind and high caliber. I liked the surgeon and PA.

The family all came to the hospital, my sister called, and I received emails from other family and friends with prayers. One daughter Amazon expressed my favorite movie, Beauty and the Beast, to my door. Another daughter came home and fixed me dinner. So thankful for the support of my family, friends, and coach. I was lectured numerous times by my Surgeon to promise I would not exercise to prevent getting a hernia till the interfacial tissue is stronger and given the ok.
So untimely to have an appendectomy on September 22nd as officially 8 weeks and 2 days out till Ironman Arizona. I don’t know where the decks will fall yet so will just let the journey take me as it wills. I am told to take it easy and no run, bike, swim for now.
